“Inspiration comes from nature. Colours of the sky, one particular flower and it’s tones & textures.”
“Im a florist, until a COVID restrictions set in, only doing weddings and events from a shed in my garden. Although I have been looking for a larger space, from which to work I have had to change my business to including retail floristry to get through life with so many restrictions upon my business and livelyhood. It wasn’t working from a shed in the garden in Trinity so I took the plunge and opened a shop in St Helier which also sells ethically sourced homewares. My background in Interiors in London and here, gave me the confidence to source lovely items to compliment beautiful flowers.”
What interior choices did you make when creating your store?
“I wanted it to be as chemical free and natural as possible so chose paint that was eco friendly, sourced a lot of second hand but very pretty furniture to dress the space. It had to feel like it was a home and welcoming not just a shop.”
How would you describe your personal interior tastes?
“I do like old homes with character. My little cottage is early 19th century with some original, features. Its cosy and sweet but love however, the light and spacious feeling of a Georgian home. The height of ceilings and beautiful simple features.”
What colours are you most drawn to?
“I like colours. Those found in the world around me. At the moment. blues, in all its guises, greens , pinks,
My office at home is a gorgeous ochre yellow.”
Do you have any favourite plants/flowers that you keep in your home?
“No favourites. I love the changing seasons and what that offers. I’m too much of a Gemini to like the same thing all the time!”
