Our made to order model is already a far more sustainable method of furniture production than the off the shelf, mass produced system of many of our competitors.
We only use sustainably sourced wood to craft our furniture frames. Everything is produced with hardwood which means the frame can be stripped and reupholstered for many years to up. A lot of mass-produced furniture is made from compressed cardboard, which not only offers poor longevity, but also means it usually cannot be reupholstered.
Any offcuts of wood that are unable are either donated to a bakery, local to our factory in Porto, to fuel their ovens or made into chippings and donated to a local farmer for the chicken coops.
Our fabric range includes a number of eco-friendly options and many recycled fibre materials. It’s an area we continue to expand in and discuss developments with our fabric brands regularly. Any excess materials in our factory are used in our Eco Cushion Collections, which you can learn more about below.
We are continuing to work on sourcing eco-friendly foams, however we do reuse any off cuts in our Eco Cushions and eiderdown collections. The off cuts are shredded into super soft, flocking filling for these products.

Eco Cushion Collection
Introduced this year, TLC Home Eco Cushion Collections are dropped every two months and feature exclusive, one-of-a-kind designs using surplus fabrics that are too small to be used in our general product range. Filled with the flocking generated by offcuts of foam from our furniture production these collections save waste products from landfill and offer gorgeous pieces in unusual designs that might never be seen again. They are also at an attractive price point, encouraging our clients to shop consciously where they can.
