1. Who we are

Walabout Limited (company no. 60667), trading as “TLC Home”, is the data controller for tlchome.co (the “Site”) and for our in‑store and showroom operations. You can contact us at hello@tlchome.co or by post to the Registered Office set out below.

2. The personal data we collect

We collect and process the following categories:

• Identity & contact data - name, email, phone, billing and delivery addresses.

• Order & fulfilment data - items purchased or accessed via Flex (Furniture as a Service “FaaS”), term selections, delivery/collection appointments, communications about your order.

• Transaction & payment data - payment method, authorisation status and billing amounts. (Card details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.)

• Device & usage data - IP address, browser/user‑agent, device identifiers, pages viewed, clicks, referring pages, and your cookie preferences.

• Communications - emails, forms and messages you send us (including recordings/voicemails where applicable).

• Preferences - marketing preferences, product interests, saved carts or wishlists where available.

We do not intentionally collect special category data. Please do not include medical, political, religious or other sensitive data in messages to us.



3. How we collect your data

• Directly from you - when you browse the Site, create an order or FaaS checkout, visit our showroom, contact us, or book a consultation.

• Automatically - via cookies, pixels and similar technologies when you use the Site.

• From third parties - our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, analytics/advertising partners (where permitted), delivery and installation partners, and anti‑fraud tools.


4. Why we use your data (purposes & lawful bases)

We use your data for:

a) Provide the Site and our products/services (Bespoke and Flex/FaaS), take and fulfil orders, manage deliveries/collections, provide customer service - **Contract** or **Legitimate interests**.

b) Account management, saved preferences, and product recommendations - **Legitimate interests** (to operate and improve our services) or **Consent** where required.

c) Payments, refunds and fraud prevention - **Contract**, **Legitimate interests** (fraud prevention) and **Legal obligation**.

d) Marketing - sending news and offers by email/SMS where you have **consented**, or to existing customers where permitted by law under **Legitimate interests** (you can opt out at any time).

e) Analytics and site improvement - to understand performance and improve our products/services - **Legitimate interests** (you can control this via cookie preferences).

f) Legal and compliance - tax/audit records, handling complaints and legal claims - **Legal obligation** and **Legitimate interests**.

g) Safety of our staff, contractors and customers (e.g., unsafe access disclosures for installation) - **Vital interests**/**Legitimate interests**.


5. Sharing your data (categories of recipients)

We share data only as needed to provide and improve our services:

• Ecommerce & hosting - our online store platform and hosting provider (e.g., Shopify) for order processing, storefront hosting and secure storage.

• Payments - payment service providers (e.g., Shopify Payments/Stripe, Apple/Google Pay) to process your payments securely.

• Delivery, installation & collection - local logistics providers and installation professionals to deliver, install and collect items (including FaaS collections).

• Communications & marketing - email service providers and marketing tools (for transactional messages, service updates and where permitted marketing).

• IT, security & support - cloud software vendors, data storage/backup and security service providers; technical support partners.

• Professional advisers & regulators - accountants, auditors, insurers, legal advisers and supervisory authorities, where necessary.

• Corporate transactions - if we undergo a restructuring, sale or merger, data may be shared under confidentiality and, where required, with notice to you.

We do not sell your personal data.



6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Jersey/UK/EEA. Where this occurs, we use safeguards such as **Standard Contractual Clauses** or reliance on an **adequacy decision**, and we assess providers’ security and privacy commitments.


7. Retention

We keep data only as long as necessary for each purpose:

• Orders & invoices - **7 years** (to meet tax and accounting obligations).

• Customer service messages & appointments - **24 months** after last interaction.

• Marketing data - until you opt out or after **24 months** of inactivity.

• Device/usage logs - typically **12 months**.

• FaaS order records - for the term of your FaaS order plus **7 years**.

We may retain data longer where required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.


8. Your rights

Subject to legal limits, you have the right to request: **access**, **rectification**, **erasure**, **restriction**, **portability**, and to **object** to processing based on legitimate interests, and to **withdraw consent** at any time (this will not affect prior lawful processing). 9. Marketing choices

You can opt out of marketing at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in our emails or contacting **hello@tlchome.co**. You can also adjust cookie preferences (see Cookies below).


10. Cookies & similar technologies (summary)

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• keep the Site secure and functioning (strictly necessary);

• remember your preferences (functional);

• understand performance and improve the Site (analytics);

• provide relevant ads (advertising/retargeting), where permitted.
